This Quick Transmigration Experience Is A Bit Sweet Chapter 03

Zong Yuan pushed him away with one of his shoulder, and with a cocky manner, he washed his hands and left.

The few people behind them stayed there in a unanimous daze while looking at the blushing boy.

Zong Yuan was not in a hurry to return back to class, so he leaned his back against the railing and looked slantly through the window to watch Fu Xin who was sitting in the last row.

That was the only quiet area in the noisy classroom.

Zong Yuan rubbed his fingers together as his smoking addition kicked in again. He smacked his lips a few times and took out a mint candy and stuffed it into his mouth. Fu Xin had his head buried in his notebook as he wrote. His slightly long hair covered his eyebrows; Zong Yuan commented, “This hairstyle isn’t good, it’s not handsome.”

0046 humbly asked for advice, “What kind of hairstyle is handsome?”

“You’re just written code, why do you even want to know.” Zong Yuan knocked on the railing and pointed, “Look, Fu Xin has a standard beautiful face—full forehead, smooth profile lines, and a round chin. The only thing is that he’s thin, so thin that he doesn’t have much flesh on him. After he gains a bit of weight and show his entire face again, tsk, he would be another handsome guy.”

Fu Xin had no idea that he was being critiqued from head to toe. There was nobody by his side. In the first period of class, evidently there was someone sitting by his side. As the day went on, he was now not use to seeing the seat beside him remain empty.

He pursed his lips as Zhang Zhi’liang walked over to him while holding on to a test paper, “Fu Xin, this is yours.”

Zhang Zhi’liang was smiling gently. Fu Xin quickly took the test paper, and spoke with a low voice, “Thank you.”

“No problem,” Zhang Zhiliang didn’t leave yet. Looking concerned, “Are you okay today? I think Zong Yuan is not easy to get along with, you should stay away from him, lest you–“

He glanced out of the window inadvertently and the rest of his words stayed in his throat. Zong Yuan looked at him with a smile from outside the window. Even though they were separated by far distance, Zhang Zhi’liang had a feeling that Zong Yuan seemed to have heard him.

Fu Xin smiled back stiffly as he fumbled the pen in his palm, and said, “Zong Yuan is quite good…”

It has been a long time since he has spoken to Zhang Zhi’liang like this. Usually, he would only say words like “Yeah,”, “Thank you,” “I’m sorry,” “…”. With his head raise up like this, his eyes could be seen. His appearance was beautifully exposed in front of Zhang Zhi’liang’s eyes. Fu Xin earnestly thanked Zhang Zhi’liang for expressing his concern, but Zhang Zhi’liang felt like something was stuck throat.

He has only been here for one day yet he was able to get the disgusting Fu’Xin to speak up for him.

Didn’t you say you like me?

Zhang Zhi’liang smile very gently, “That’s good then.”

Zong Yuan stepped into the classroom and the people around him greeted him enthusiastically. Even though it was just a short cement road, he managed to make it seem like he was a bigshot walking on the streets. He resplendently walked over to Fu Xin and Zhang Zhi’liang.

He placed his hand on the table and bent over slightly. His young body was stretched into a strong arc, “I saw that the academic monitor has been standing at my table for a long time, why, is there something wrong?” He used a haughty tone to make this interrogation.

Zhang Zhi’liang held the test paper more tightly, and answered as calmly as possible, “I was passing out the test papers.”

“Oh,” Zong Yuan spoke as if he just had a moment of realization, “and you’re also taking the opportunity to stand here and explain the test questions?”

An inexplicable smell of gunpowder rose between them. The small groups of people who were nearby looked over to their direction. Zhang Zhi’liang put on a helpless look, “Zong Yuan, are you unhappy?”

Zong Yuan sneered and was just about to retaliate back but Fu Xin pulled on the corner of his shirt. This was the first time Fu Xin took the initiative to touch him. Zong Yuan sat down on his seat and tapped on the table with his fingers like he was playing the piano. “Listen to what our academic monitor just said. You were blocking my seat, so I had no choice but to chat with you while standing on the side.”

Fu Xin can smell the mint on his body and blurted out, “You went to the washroom to eat candy?”

Zong Yuan turned his dark face to look at him and he opened his mouth. The tip of his tongue was pressed against the piece of candy that he had just stuffed into his mouth, and he muffled, “Look, look, I just ate it! “

Fu Xin took a closer look and frowned, “You’re about to develop a cavity on one of your left teeth.”

Zong Yuan was so startled, he was scared to move, and he asked Fu Xin to look closer, “Which tooth? How is it now?”

Fu Xin leaned over, and from the tip of his nose , he could smell the rich mint smell coming from Zong Yuan’s body. He frowned solemnly and he could have passed as doctor if he put on a white lab coat.

Zhang Zhiliang was completely forgotten by the two of them. His expression was stiff and he darkly glanced at them for a bit then continued to hand out test papers as if nothing had happened.

Zong Yuan’s tooth was okay; he could still persist on but he needs to eat less sugar.

Fu Xin confidently drew the approximate location of the tooth on a piece of paper. Zong Yuan glanced at it and still couldn’t tell where the tooth was. He couldn’t believe it, “Mints can also cause cavities?”

Fu Xin spoke like a pediatrician working with a three-year-old child, “Any types of sugary foods should be cut down.”

Zong Yuan frowned. He took a cigarette out from his pocket and held it in his hand while sighing.

If he ate less sugar, he would have to smoke more.

Yang Fan turned his head to have a look, and almost jumped up from shock, “Why did you bring out a cigarette?”

From the perspectives of teachers, high schoolers, especially high school seniors, having that was no different from having poison.

Zong Yuan was not concerned at all and flicked the fingers that were holding the cigarette, “I won’t light them, I’m holding them to relieve my addiction.”

He habitually held the cigarette on his left hand between his index finger and middle finger. It looked like he was ready to place the cigarette into his mouth and start smoking. His pose was extremely eye-catching.

For many young girls, boys who smoke were irresistibly attractive—especially when the person is handsome.

He Xiu’xiu’s eyes were glued to Zong Yuan and she completely forgot about Zhang Zhi’liang who was  sitting next to her, “He’s way too bold.”

Wang Li really wanted to talk with Zong Yuan, “Xiu’xiu, you are the class monitor, how about you go over there and say something. How could he smoke in the classroom?”

He Xiu’xiu was swayed by what she said. Wang Li saw her changed expression, “Let’s go together! I’ll go with you!”

As soon as the two of them approached Zong Yuan, they heard Zong Yuan talking to Fu Xin, “Mister Fu, haven’t you finished drawing yet?”

Fu Xin rubbed his eyebrows with exhaustion, “Almost.”

He reviewed the picture he drew again and determined that it was the best one he has drawn recently. Time always passed by quickly when he was focused, and it has been a long time since he was able to relax and concentrate on a single thing.

He Xiu’xiu’s eyes turned cold. She glanced at Fu Xin with obvious disgust and then quickly returned to her normal expression.

Wang Li muttered beside her, “Hopefully Zong Yuan doesn’t get fooled by that disgusting person.”

He Xiu’xiu patted her hand and angrily spoke, “What are you talking about, Fu Xin is also very pitiful, don’t say such nasty words.”

When she walked over, Zong Yuan heard her footsteps and turned his head to look in their direction. His charming face conjured up a slight smile, “Yo, class monitor.”

He Xiu’xiu pointed to the cigarette in his hand and with a sweet likable smile she spoke, ” Zong Yuan, this thing can’t show up in the classroom!”

“Okay,” Zong Yuan slowly passed the cigarette to Fu Xin, “Throw it away for me, thank you.”

The trash can was close to Fu Xin. Fu Xin took the cigarette from his hand and Yang Fan secretively called over to him, “Hey, Fu Xin, pass it to me.”

The cigarette was not used yet and his dad probably hasn’t smoked this brand before either.

Fu Xin glanced at him and continued to throw the cigarette into the trash can.

Yang Fan, “…”

He turned his head away wryly.

Zongyuan glanced at the ceiling, “Class monitor, is it fine now?”

He pulled on his hair casually, and every movement of his made He Xiu’xiu blush profusely. She felt a bit embarrassed, “It’s fine now.”

Fu Xin glanced at He Xiuxiu; his dark eyes changed her expression, “You trash… you trashed the cigarette already so there are no more prohibited items, I’ll leave now.”

Zong Yuan glanced at her back with an unclear expression. He sneered and turned back around, “Fu Xin, are you not done yet?”

Fu Xin hesitated, “It’s finished, but…”

Zongyuan stretched out his hand carelessly; he was already dying from curiosity, “Come on, let me have a look.” I’m so handsome, no matter how I’m drawn, it can’t possibly look very ugly.

In the next second, the corners of his eyes were twitching. He was almost unable to maintain the composure on his face.

0046 looked at him with pity, “I shouldn’t have used Ru’hua as a comparison, I have insulted Ru’hua.”

The evening self-study session soon ended.  Zong Yuan had a house nearby. He carried his schoolbag and waited for Fu Xin to pack his things. Fu Xin’s movements became slower and slower and the majority of the students have left already. Zong Yuan remained standing in front of the table and his tall physique blocked a portion of the light. He asked Fu Xin, “…Is there something wrong?”

Zong Yuan picked up his dark shabby schoolbag from his desk and carried it on one shoulder— one bag on each side, “Let’s go!”

He took long strides and walked out the door in just a few steps. Fu Xin was stunned for a few seconds before he realized what just happened, “Zong Yuan!”

He chased after and ran to Zong Yuan’s side. He reached out his hand to pull his schoolbag away but Zong Yuan dangled the bag up high with his hand. He let Fu Xin bounce around and about; he was not at all concerned about Fu Xin’s child-like strength. He calmly spoke, “You live off campus, right? Me too, what a coincidence, let’s go together.”

0046 nodded in relief, “That’s it! Who would dare bully Fu Xin when he’s walking to school now.”

The hand Fu Xin held up was getting tired, “How do you know I live off campus?”

Zong Yuan wagged one of his fingers and acted all mysterious, “Of course I would know the answer to  such simple question.”

Fu Xin watched Zong Yuan pull out a cigarette and light it up with a lighter. A picturesque scene formed in front of Fu Xin eyes: in the smoky haze, the bright flames shone on Zong Yuan’s handsome face.

His breathing became slightly strained and he lowered his head abruptly. He followed Zong Yuan in the direction of his house.

Zong Yuan made the wise choice of separating from Fu Xin at the fork in the road. He watched Fu Xin go further and further into the alley, and he suddenly shouted, “Fu Xin.”

Fu Xin turned his head and saw that the outline of the person was almost blending into the night. He was a little nervous and he mimicked Zong Yuan’s loud tone, “What’s wrong?”

Zong Yuan smothered out the smoke and waved his hand lazily. His voice was full of the gentleness of the night, “See you tomorrow.”

Fu Xin’s heart suddenly beat quickly for a couple beats.

He stood in a daze for a long time until he sneezed; only until then did he realized that Zong Yuan had disappeared already. What remained was the dim yellow color of the streetlamp. The wind at night was a little bit chilling. Fu Xin slowly walked in the direction of his house and he suddenly felt that something was wrong, “…Wait, where’s my schoolbag?”

Zong Yuan followed 0046’s path into an apartment. The freezer in the kitchen was filled with frozen food. He put his schoolbag down and took his time to boil a package of meat dumplings while humming leisurely.

0046, “I don’t know if you realized…”

“Huh?” Zong Yuan fished out the dumplings and found the hot sauce. 0046 quietly spoke, “There are  two schoolbags on the sofa…”

Zong Yuan laughed loudly, “Two schoolbags? Are you stupid? How would schoolbags be able self-reproduce? You think schoolbags don’t cost money?” He walked out of the kitchen with his dumplings, “This joke is so fucking dry, are you not—”

There were indeed two schoolbags on the living room’s sofa. In fact, one of them was very familiar looking; it was the one he carried the entire way back.

The schoolbag belonged to Fu Xin.

0046 chewed and cracked some sunflower seeds while watching his contradicting words slap him in the face, “Do a good job on the two copies of homework, don’t bring others down. Oh, yes, there’s also a test paper on your favorite subject—math.”

Zong Yuan, “…”
